Lamborghini vs. Legacy

When I was a little girl, I had big dreams of one day driving a Lamborghini. I remember telling my parents about my aspirations and their lack of enthusiasm. However, as I grew older, I realized that it was not just about achieving my own personal goals, but also about helping others achieve their own.

At the age of 30, I could have owned that Lamborghini, but instead, I chose to focus on helping others live out their own dreams. Here are the five things that changed in my life that led me to this decision:

1.My priorities: As I grew older, my priorities shifted. I realized that material possessions were not as important as the satisfaction of helping others and making a positive impact in the world. And also not much fun having material possession without people to enjoy them with.

I became focused on legacy instead of inheritance. What I leave behind instead of what others leave behind for me. The people I surround with love and encouragement, not what people can do for me.

2.My passion to help others reach their dreams: I became passionate about helping others achieve their goals and reach their full potential. I found that there was nothing more rewarding than seeing someone else succeed and achieve their dreams. There is untapped potential in each of us, but it takes someone with vision and wisdom to withdraw that from the inside of us. Make sure you have those kinds of people in your circle of 5 or get in contact so that I can help you be your best self.

  1. The knowing that it is better to give than to receive: I learned that the greatest joy in life comes from giving and helping others, rather than receiving. I found that when I put the needs of others before my own, I was much happier and fulfilled. https://jdcacademy.com/in10tionality-intent-for-your-soul/ This mindset is inspired by the word of God in Acts 20:35 NLT “And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

  1. My definition of success: My definition of success evolved: I no longer define success solely by material possessions or accomplishments, but rather by the impact I have on the world and the people around me. https://jdcacademy.com/in10tionality-intent-for-what-makes-you-happy/ Success as per my definition is personal. It is small daily wins that adds up to a lifetime of success, impact, influence, and ultimately legacy. Living a life to empowering others. Giving them practical tools to grow in all areas of their life.

  1. The satisfaction of seeing others succeed: The greatest satisfaction in my life now comes from seeing others succeed and achieve their goals. There is nothing more rewarding than watching someone else’s dreams come true and knowing that I played a part in making that happen.

As a little girl, my dream was to own a Lamborghini, but as I grew older, my aspirations shifted toward helping others live out their own dreams. I found that the true joy in life comes not from achieving one’s own goals but from helping others reach their full potential.

Helping others succeed in life is a noble and fulfilling endeavor. Whether it’s a family member, friend, or colleague, everyone can benefit from some guidance and support as they navigate through life’s challenges. Here are a few ways you can help others succeed:

  1. Listen actively: One of the most important things you can do to help someone succeed is to truly listen to them. Show that you care about what they have to say and provide a listening ear when they need it. This can help them to feel heard and understood, which is a critical part of the success process.

  1. Offer support and encouragement: Encourage the person you’re helping to keep pushing forward, even when things get tough. Let them know that you believe in them and are proud of their efforts. A simple message of encouragement can go a long way in helping someone stay motivated.

  1. Provide guidance: Share your own experiences, successes and mistakes to guide others in their journey. Give them advice and suggestions on how they can overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

  1. Connect them to resources: Help them find the resources they need to achieve their goals. This can include books, websites, workshops, or people who can offer additional guidance and support.

  1. Hold them accountable: Help them set goals and hold them accountable for achieving them. Follow up with them regularly and offer constructive feedback to help them stay on track. Or join one of our weekly accountability groups to stay on track with your goals. https://jdcacademy.com/online-bookings-here/

  1. Celebrate their successes: Finally, be sure to celebrate the person’s successes, no matter how small. Recognize and acknowledge their progress, and help them to enjoy the fruits of their hard work.

In summary, helping others succeed in life requires active listening, support, guidance, connection to resources, accountability, and celebration of successes. By providing these elements, you can help empower others to take control of their lives and achieve their goals.
